What does nontraditional therapy mean?

Nontraditional therapy uses a range of creative, somatic, and holistic techniques to support the healing process. As a therapist who specializes in mental health for creatives, I treat the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—through an embodied, conversational approach. I honor your lived experience and offer a collaborative space for exploration rather than telling you what to do. This work centers your humanity and creativity as essential parts of your growth and healing.

Who do you work with?

I offer therapy for creatives across all disciplines—artists, writers, performers, designers, and makers. Many of my clients are navigating identity exploration, perfectionism, burnout, or creative blocks. I also support individuals from marginalized communities, providing affirming care that honors intersectional identities. Whether you're feeling stuck, searching for meaning, or looking to level up your craft, my approach to nontraditional therapy is uniquely tailored to your creative path and emotional well-being.

Do you provide diagnoses or medication?

While some people find value in a diagnosis, I do not offer clinical diagnoses or medication. My focus is on nontraditional therapy rooted in emotional insight, mind-body awareness, and creative processing. If you're seeking psychiatric care, I can connect you with trusted providers. My role is to support mental health for creatives through reflection, strategy, and care that honors your individual process and goals.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I do not accept insurance. My work is rooted in a personalized approach to therapy for creatives and mental health for artists, offering flexibility and depth outside the limitations of traditional clinical models.

Are evening and weekend appointments available?

Yes. I offer appointments on select weekday evenings and Saturdays to accommodate different schedules—especially those of working creatives and freelancers.

What makes you qualified?

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University (GSU), a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). My training combines clinical foundations with a nontraditional therapy lens, making it ideal for supporting creatives, neurodivergent individuals, and those seeking deeper emotional alignment.

When and where are sessions held?

I offer in-person sessions as well as virtual.

Will our session be confidential?

Yes. Sessions are fully confidential, unless there is a risk of harm to yourself or others—in those cases, I am required by law to take action. Everything else shared in our therapy for creatives sessions stays between us. I provide a safe, supportive space where vulnerability and honesty are welcomed and protected.

How often will we meet?

We typically begin with weekly sessions. As your process evolves, we can shift to biweekly or monthly check-ins, or schedule sessions as needed. This flexible model of nontraditional therapy allows you to receive consistent mental health support for creatives, without pressure or rigid timelines.

How do I know we’ll be the right fit?

I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a feel for my approach. This is your time to ask questions, share what you're looking for, and sense if our energy aligns. I encourage you to speak with multiple therapists—finding the right fit matters. If we’re meant to work together, I trust that clarity will come.
